Proposition

I fly out to Delmar, New York to propose to Cathy. She says “Yes!”

A Reunion and a Wedding

I drive to Ohio for my 5-year high school reunion.  It is pretty lame.  I then go to Ryan and Laura’s wedding in Indiana.  I drive all the way back to Albuquerque.

I move into an apartment on Louisiana, across the street from where I work.

Peyton

My niece Peyton is born on the 7th.

I start work as a freelance artist at S.M. Stoller.  I help design an educational CD-ROM.

Albuquerque

I quit High Ground Digital and move out to Albuquerque, New Mexico in anticipation of Cathy moving there in the near future.

I stay with a college friend, Edie Lewis and her mom in their townhouse near Candelaria and Tramway.

Living it Up

At some point at the beginning of this year I moved to an old dilapidated house in Terre Haute.  I only stayed there a few months and then moved to a closet-like apartment, also in Terre Haute.  It was only $250 a month!

Terre Haute

I move to Terre Haute to housesit for the Derreks’ while they are in Europe.

Starts with a Bang

Cathy and I get back together.
During the summer, Casey, a student I had known only peripherally, shot himself.  I remember that his last words to me were “Hey, man, I liked your play.”

Got My Paper and I was Free

I graduate from DePauw University with a Bachelor’s degree in English Composition.

Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man

Begin an internship at High Ground Digital in Terre Haute, Indiana.  I start learning 3D Modeling and digital video editing.

I win the Outstanding Playwright award for “All We See and Seem.”

I also win the Outstanding Supporting Actor award for my role as Sarge in “Off Kennedy’s Yacht.”  I portrayed a 60 year-old one-armed man who owned a bar in Texas.

Documentary

For my Winter Term project, I create a documentary about the lives of my high school graduating class.

I meet Jeff and Johnny, who Cathy will forever refer to as “your ruffian friends.”
